Opener of The Ways by JillHoffman Opener of The Ways by JillHoffman
Media study from my sketchbook
Graphite, charcoal, white acrylic, ink and very minor photoshop touch-ups.

Because of the winter season, working with the idea of wolves being the openers of the underworld.

Beautifully surreal (Then again all your artwork is)! I love it all, I can just picture a wisp of smoke curling around someone and then taking the form of the wolf starting from head to tail.

"Opener of the Ways" is a title of Upuat in egyptian mythology he is said to be wolf like rather than his counter part Inpu who is a jackal...

Lobely picture, i get a sense of mourning from this, it seems like a mixture of swirling emotions, beautiful, yet melancholic
